Sandakan Anniversary 2021
Due to the unprecedented lockdowns brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Burwood Council was unable to host a Sandakan Remembrance Service for 2021. Instead, Mayor John Faker paid a special visit to the Burwood Park Sandakan Memorial to commemorate the occasion.
