Stitch it, don't Ditch it - Term 3 2024

Want to learn how to sew? Or how to repair a loved outfit??

If you are a beginner or have never sewn, this is the workshop for you!

Stitch it, don’t Ditch it is a hands-on and for beginner sewers.

Over the 6 weeks you will learn to use a sewing machine and make a produce bag, a shopping bag, upcycle tea towels into a cushion cover or apron.

We will also show you how to do simple machine and hand repairs such as sew hems and seams, sew on buttons.

These workshops are a joint project of Burwood Council and Climate Action Burwood Canada Bay (CABCB) funded by Burwood RSL through the ClubGRANTS program.

CABCB is a not-for-profit, non-political volunteer community group advocating a science-based approach to climate change.
