Council has commissioned artists Nico Nicoson and Kim Siew to develop a series of floor artworks which will be installed throughout Clarendon Place and Emerald Square. This is proudly funded by NSW Government’s The Festival of Place Open Street program.

Nico and Kim's artworks reflect the diverse cultures found throughout the Burwood CBD through fun colourful designs that will guide visitors through the space and ignite a sense of play and curiosity. The artworks will serve to further revitalise Burwood, creating opportunity for discovery and further promoting the use of streets as shared spaces.

Artworks locations:

  • Painted Floor mural on the roadway of Clarendon Place
  • Floor decals installed throughout the footpaths in Clarendon Place and Emerald Square
  • A floor artwork treatment affixed to the staircase in Emerald Square from Wynne Avenue
