Celebrate International Women’s Day with an artist workshop and talk by Sue Jo Wright.
Sue Jo Wright is a Deaf, multidisciplinary artist based on Dharug and Bidjigal Country. Her work integrates Auslan (Australian Sign Language), offering a captivating glimpse into the inner world of the Deaf community and sharing unique insights with broader audiences.
Sue wears many hats as a freelance photographer, arts facilitator, consultant, mentor, and speaker, sharing her expertise and inspiring others to explore and connect with the arts as deeply as she does.
The event will include a Q + A with the artist and a hands-on workshop exploring expressive hand embroidery on handkerchiefs.
Booking are essential. No prior sewing experience is necessary.
